![]() ![]() ![]() My language is as foul as an otyugh nest. Personality Trait: I like a job well done, especially if I can convince someone else to do it. Of course, considering how deep of a hole he had just dug for himself, it wouldn't be the first time one of his outbursts had gotten him thrown in jail, either. It wouldn't have been the first time the bugbear had threatened to bludgeon someone with someone else, nor was it the first time he had done so to law-enforcement. "Where d'ya pillocks get off? Laws be damned, give me one good reason I shouldn't go ov'r there n' beat one o' ya with t' rest o' ya!" " Sardin' arse-breath'd, hedge-born yaldsons!" Ignoring half of what Zelva was trying to say, he stomps his way over to where Red and Marizka were accosting the blue-robed men and shoves the pair out of his way. This was not going to go well for anyone. As the drow began to speak again, the look was quickly replaced by one of extreme anger. The haze in his mind lifted, the enchantment on him broke, and a look of revelation appeared on his face. "Wut're you on about?" Garm's question to Zelva was nearly cut off as her magic did its work. "Why, too much of a good thing nearly makes one sick." Then, noticing Lady Myna across the shop, he asks, "Have you ordered the chilled wine yet? I'm parched!" ![]() Flipping the corner of his mauve cape over one shoulder flamboyantly, he looks about the shop as if scandalized. More clear, however, is the drow's revulsion at the choice of decor. Phineas rushes into the Old Xoblob shop, and seeing that all of his conjecture has been false, is clearly disappointed. "My dear, such rudeness! Perhaps Iskandar has struck upon a lead! Perhaps the Lady Myna demands a rest from her exertions this day, and a pitcher of chilled wine to slake her thirst! Perhaps that foul Persephone has been caught stealing, and is even now being put to death by the queer store's owner. Taking a moment to regard the effect his revelation had on his audience, Phineas was embarrassed indeed to find himself standing alone in the middle of the road. Speaking to no one in particular, Phineas exclaims, "And did you know, Malchail my dear, that she was a mind flayer all along? A mind flayer! I've never seen so many tentacles, nor have I ever been explored with such enthusiasm!" It was in the middle of one such story that the group found itself in front of the ghastly Xoblob shop Phineas, failing to notice that everyone diverted from his path and had stopped to examine the store, continued along his merry way, gesturing wildly while in the throes of his tale. Phineas misinterprets Malchail's sourness at the insults regarding his scars, and the resulting silence, as a desire to hear more about Phineas' time underground. Little did they know that they would travel in the company of such celebrity as myself this day! Still shocked that Volo regards me as a friend, confidant, and equal, clearly. Most of his rambling is aimed at the stoic Malchail, for no one else in the group seems to want to pay any attention to Phineas. Here's a couple links to solid sample posts:Īs the group trundles towards the Skewered Dragon, Phineas fills the empty air with tales of his exploits. PbP is a lot like improv comedy or group storytelling. Brief posts are sometimes called for (especially in combat situations) but in general, a post should be descriptive, tell us what your character is thinking, feeling, and doing, and give others something to respond to/work with. A firm commitment not to "ghost (vanish without notice.)"*.A consistent posting rate of a minimum of two times per week (more sometimes when things flow well.)*.I commit to the following and expect the same commitment from players: Riftwar will be a coming-of-age, zero to hero, long term campaign that I dream will one day run from 1-20 when the heroes retire to the shire/walk off into the sunset/mourn fallen companions/sit in rocking chairs, smoking pipes, and growing old together. I'm hoping to find four (and only four) who feel the same and are in for the long haul. I know how much work GMs put into creating campaigns and if I'm serious about involvement I want my application to stand out. In PbP, I consider the application process to be a serious endeavor with the goal of a world we can invest hundreds of hours in together.Īs such, my expectations for applications might be higher than what you're used to. ![]()
